GEL DE LA MER review

So I came across a sample of Gel de la Mer by LA MER ,the moisturizing gel cream, when I was vain enough to buy their moisturizing lip balm,so this sample was an additional gift to my purchase.

Price: 2oz/30ml – 295$

What they say it does:

“Ultra-light, velvet finish
This cooling gel moisturizer is infused with a potent concentration of the nutrient-rich Miracle Broth™, the heart of La Mer’s profound powers of transformation. It delivers the same radiance, renewal and suppleness that made the original Crème de la Mer a legend, leaving skin deeply hydrated and refreshed. It is ideal for warm-weather climates.
Pat a small amount between fingertips and press gently into skin.”

Texture: it’s between a gel and a cream, more,of a gel, very velvety when smoothed on,and a little cooling.Probably the cooling effect is more intense,it you keep the jar in the fridge between applications

Scent:has a very pleasant smell,a light plant infused aroma, nothing to dislike

Finish:very light and very fast absorbing, it leave skin matte, not oily,it’s a very great moisturizer for hot sweaty summer days, very suitable before applying makeup,or I would say, combination to oily skin

Outcome:I’ve had a combination to dry skin when I’ve used this, and my skin didn’t felt dry at all, and there we’re no oily areas on my face, skin felt tight without any dryness, pores closed.

It does leave skin like a velvet dream, but is absorbed into skin very fast, and is not as you might apply a primer, witch sits on top of the skin.

Even that it’s really pricy,It does what it claims!

Kisses,Laura.
