Chicago City is going back to life

After a frustrating year since Corona Virus has really impacted our lives, here in illinois/USA we finally start to see the light at the end of the tunnel. With the spring arriving, most schools will open almost full time, since all teachers got vaccinated, and kids will still wear full time masks, but at least will get again more social and engaged while learning. Parents will finally be able to go back to work and slowly ease into a new “normal” which will probably move the economy slowly and steady.

I’ve learned that we are now allowed to go the movies, attend outdoor concerts and probably soon attend more fun indoor and outdoor fun events that more likely will be public limited. Prices will increase. Prices did already increase for food and other essential products.

A year that left us mentally and socially deprived is teaching us to adapt, something that we are really amazing at. In the past year I had so much time to reflect. I missed shopping in person at first. Now I feel that I don’t need that much stuff. I research a lot. I compare. I scroll. I ask.

If you are moving to Chicago area this year, comparing online got so much easier.

According to Zumper, the average rent for a 1-bedroom apartment in Chicago is $1400 a -3% Year-Over-Year Change which is quite surprising.

So, what’s Zumper?

Zumper is used by millions of renters to find houses, rooms, condos, or apartments for rent. With current event’s, you ca easily apply online from the comfort of your home and submit digital rental applications and credit reports with Zumper’s screening service, powered by TransUnion™.

Zumper has quality listings, their inventory is updated in real-time, so you’ll always see new rentals on Zumper first.

You can get realtime alerts, filter by location, price range, bedroom count, pet-friendly, or amenity and set an alert to get notifications when a new listing is posted.

Easy-peasy right?

Now I need how I can shop more easily for groceries, but wait, the price of food did increase, plus walking to the nearest store counts as exercise, breathing fresh air as a stress relief and life enhancer, and I’m happier when I pick my own fruits and veggies to please my taste. Also, sale’s are also appealing to people making them shop more of a certain product that might or might not be tossed away if otherwise. It’s a good thing for not crowding our already big landfills.

The flowers didn’t bloom yet since is early spring, but we finally have a normal spring weather comparing to last year, when last snow was in May.

Who’s ready for the pools to open this summer? My new moonstone ring just reminded me of the blue colored pool water and I’m really excited about that.

Summer bodies are made in winter, but is spring already, so “Run Forest, Run!”
