While traveling through Argentina in 2006, TOMS founder Blake Mycoskie saw the hardships faced by children without shoes and that inspired him to create a for-profit business with giving at its core. The slogan was One for One and it definitely made an impact, sales plummeted and the company grew rapidly.
But, as a sustainable point, Toms shoes were lacking.It did not publish sufficient relevant information about its environmental policies and as a shopper you have the right to know how its production practices impact on the environment.
So they finally introduced the Earthwise Shoes Collection that offers sustainable and vegan Classics shoes made with recycled and recyclable materials. Available in basics and prints, you’ll find the perfect pair of men’s, women’s, and kids’ shoes. Once you’ve worn out your favorite style, you can take them to a reclaim center to be recycled into another product – closing the loop for recycling. YAY!
