Growing up, we probably learned from our parents, that cotton was the best material for sheets, a natural fiber material, that lets your skin breathe and absorb extra moisture.

But because the population is so high on our planets, and so is the demand of cotton, cotton is often grown with pesticides and requires a lot of water.

As we get older, we probably desire silk sheets, which also have about the same properties as cotton, but they definitely feel more luxurious.
