Why I switched to ORGANIC BAMBOO sheets

Growing up, we probably learned from our parents, that cotton was the best material for sheets, a natural fiber material, that lets your skin breathe and absorb extra moisture.

But because the population is so high on our planets, and so is the demand of cotton, cotton is often grown with pesticides and requires a lot of water.

As we get older, we probably desire silk sheets, which also have about the same properties as cotton, but they definitely feel more luxurious. Silk production does take longer time to produce thought and ofcourse, silk sheets are not coming cheap, but also caring for the material, needs a gentle approach. These days, silk pillow cases seem to make an impact, since they can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

Right now, in the world were living, the best option are BAMBOO SHEETS because:

-Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on earth and is technically considered a grass rather than a tree (it can grow at phenomenal speeds, reaching its maximum height in only four months)

Bamboo uses less water, generates more oxygen and removes more carbon dioxide from the air than trees

Bamboo can be a very sustainable crop,  it requires no fertilizer and self-regenerates from its own roots, so it doesn’t need to be replanted

Bamboo is resistant to pests and does not require any pesticides whatsoever which enables it to be sufficiently grown organically, making it an even safer option for the entire family.

Bamboo is tolerant to droughts and can survive in harsh conditions with minimal water. The plant will curl up it’s leaves when it is thirsty, allowing it stay alive by keeping the stalks away from the heat as the leaves prepare to capture the next lot of rain or water. If the leaves remain dry after a few days, they will drop off and self-mulch to reduce the number of leaves that need hydration. What an intelligent plant!

My new Organic Bamboo Sheet Set from Linenly comes with 1 Flat Sheet,1 Fitted Sheet and 2 Pillow Cases. The rich 400 thread count sateen weave gives the feeling of a 1000 cotton thread count, giving a silky smooth finish, and a certain weight and flow to the fabric. Naturally antibacterial and hypoallergenic, this sheet set is also very easy to care for.
