All women are at risk for developing the disease, but that also can be changed depending on family history, breast density, race(caucasian women are higher at risk),weight, physical activity and alcohol consumption.

Women who got their periods before age 12 or went thru menopause after age 55,or taking oral contraceptives for more than 10 years, are at a higher risk. The risk is also reduced if oral contraceptives have not been used for 10 years.

Early detection is key and to increase the odds of catching the disease ,and is recommended to do regular mammograms.

All my life I’ve tried to invest into my personal health,to exercise and eat as healthy as possible, and improve my daily habits, into healthy ones.Be conscious to what your eat, because that’s one thing that determine your future. Also if you can’t exercise, take that brisk walk 3 times a week, and your body will thank you.

Now go ahead and wear something pink, and do something to change your odds, starting today!

xoxo,Laura
